This is a pre-release of gcc 2.96 for ARM/RISC OS. Download
it if you want. Code generation is good so I don't expect
to find any bugs there. However the documentation is a little
out of date but it will be updated soon.

Give it a try, but only on the understanding that I may make
frequent updates to these zip files. So offset that against
the costs of your phone bill.

Comments and suggestions on any part of this GCC distribution
are encouraged so that I may get a package released that is
relatively straightforward to use and bug free.

For those interested in Fortran 77, download the fortran.zip
file. If you are not interested, don't bother.

From time to time minor patches may be made to the pre-release.
These can be found in the `patches' subdirectory. A
accompanying README.txt provides a description of the file
and the bug it is supposed to fix.
