There's a 2 year old (and continuing) thread on Iconbar about OpenGL on RISC OS. See the end of the thread.

OpenGL is essentially a cross-platform graphics API and is widely used in open source 3D games and for certain 2D effects. On the IYONIX and BeagleBoard such operations can have hardware acceleration, which will be significantly faster than a software-only solution. Mesa is an Open Source implementation of the OpenGL API.
