I tried to add an external link to the NetSurf page but since I was adding an external link, the wiki software made me enter the text shown in a mangled image before submitting the change. When I entered the text and submitted the change, I was just sent back to the same page to enter the text in a different image. I found it impossible to enter the external link. I tried in both NetSurf and Firefox on a PC. I just went round in circles trying to submit the change in both browsers.

I don't want you to duplicate the general Wikipedia entry, nor the more specific technical information on its homepage (the packaging of other stuff doesn't belong here). Rather the entry should offer quick overview of its history, and anything really RISC OS specific to put it in context that is perhaps too detailed or specific for the Wikipedia entry. Note that it'll also differ from the style of the Firefox page, since that has its home on that page.
In the end, I removed the external link bit and managed to submit the change without incident. Is this a problem with the wiki?

Ideally, all the RISC OS browser pages (see also the Oregano one) might eventually share some commonality with eventual plans for a RISC OS browser timeline.
Possibly. We recently upgraded this wiki to a newer version in order to be in a better position against Wiki vandalism and SPAM URL mentioning. I did a quick try in the Sandbox to add an URL and that seems to work fine using Firefox. Anybody else seeing the same problem ? [[User:Joty|joty]] 12:02, 17 July 2007 (BST)

Can you please revise this as I've suggested, otherwise I'll need to, and I don't trust myself to make it entirely accurate. Thanks.

The page doesn't actually say much about what NetSurf is ;-)

I don't want you to duplicate the general Wikipedia entry, nor the more specific technical information on its homepage (the packaging of other stuff doesn't belong here). Rather the entry should offer quick overview of its history, and anything really RISC OS specific to put it in context that is perhaps too detailed or specific for the Wikipedia entry. Note that it'll also differ from the style of the Firefox page, since that has its home on that page.

Ideally, all the RISC OS browser pages (see also the Oregano one) might eventually share some commonality with eventual plans for a RISC OS browser timeline.
