Review by Galaxian

The graphics are not top nosh but are quite good eye-candy. I didn’t mind forking out £29 to buy this game because this game kept me playing for weeks and the expansion pack, American Revolt kept me playing even longer.

In my opinion, this is one of the greatest games ever to be ported to RISC OS, Syndicate a bit like a 2D version of Grand Theft Auto. You can complete missions or just go freestyle! You can kill the police, gangsters or innocent pedestrians. (although killing innocent civilians is wrong)

There's not any online access or anything but if you want a game that’ll keep you entertained for a couple of weeks then this game is for you. The Acorn Syndicate+ package from www.rcomp.co.uk also contains Syndicate + and American Revolt for the Windows PC but it won't run on Windows 98, Me, 2000 or XP.

If you’'e looking for a game with unlimited lifespan then I strongly suggest you play another game like Doom, Quake, Doom 2, AlephOne or Heroes of Might and Magic II.
Acorn Syndicate+ will run on any RISC OS machine with RISC OS 3.10 or better with a CD-Rom drive with at least 2X Speed and 8MB of RAM or better. I haven’t tested this but if Syndicate+ doesn’t run natively on an A9 or Iyonix then it might run with Aemulor Pro from Spelling Internet Services.

My rating for the RISC OS conversion of this game:
9 / 9

Thank you for the contribution, Galaxian<br>
