EQUINOX Previewed |
I preview EQUINOX from Jason Tribeck / 7Th ARM. |
When I first run the game, I was really suprised. |
The graphics caught my eye imediately and the sound was nice to listen to. |
You can upgrade your ship with new and more powerful weopons and cooling systems and there is also a trading feature. |
There are many levels to play and some are empty but the ones that have been desgined are great fun to play. |
The sound can get a bit annoying after a while but the game itself is very addicting. |
The game is not just mindless killing, there is a story behind it: |
The universe has been very peacful for a while and violence has been grinded to a halt. There is a taboo against all violence but some Alien scumm want to disturb the peace. You are in a ship called EQUINOX and you must destroy the Aliens and asteroids before they create serious damage. |
In some levels you would need to upgrade to better weopons to destroy some enemies and complete the level. |
The game currently looks very good and I hope Jason keeps up the good work. |
The game will probably be PD but Jason has said that he might also release a CD version for about £5 for low-bandwith users. |
The movement needs to be smoothed a bit and some bugs need to be fixed but overall it's a wonderful game. |
