Acorn Quake was released in 2000 by R-Comp Interactive and the public’s welcome to Acorn Quake didn’t go down very well.
Quake, Descent 1 and 2 were also converted to the [[IYONIX pc]] in 2003.
Many Mods, Patches and Wads are available for Quake from http://www.planetquake.com, http://www.acornarcade.com or http://www.phlamethrower.co.uk.
A conversion of Quake 3 for the IYONIX pc is now possible because of the release of the [http://www.simonrules.com/iyonixmesa/ Iyonix Mesa library] and that id Software recently released the source of Quake 3 on their site.
ArcQuake is a freeware version of Quake for RISC OS but the commercial version is better.
Quake is only playable on a [[StrongARM]], ARM 9, [[XScale]], Pentium machine or better.
