Avalanche is a VNC (Virtual Network Computing) client. It lets you connect to and control a remote computer via a faithful rendition of its display in a window - the keyboard and mouse work within this window as they would on the remote machine. The remote computer must be running a VNC server, which is freely available for most platforms, and must be accessible on a LAN or over the internet.

Avalanche works with servers running on Mac, Windows and Linux platforms. It supports passwords, true colour rendition, VNC protocols 3.3, 3.7 and 3.8, screen resizing, multiple views and connections, local/remote clipboards, and local pointer display. Sound is limited to the system beep.
