Introduction

Cretin icon Cretin is an IRC client for RISC OS that aims to be friendly, easy to use and work on all versions of RISC OS after 3.5. It is written primarily in C, and is open source.

Project maintenance is being managed by Jymbob

Features

  • Cretin is fully 32bit compliant, working natively on both the Iyonix and the A9home.
  • Cretin can connect to multiple servers without needing to load multiple instances
  • Cretin supports tabs for channels, or each channel can be moved to its own window
  • Cretin is designed to be easy to use and intuitive (work in a 'RISC OSy' manner)
  • Cretin supports aliases in an easy to understand format
  • Cretin supports scripting via the Lua language
  • Cretin supports user-configurable timestamps
