PHP -- which stands, recursively, for PHP Hypertext Processor -- is a popular general-purpose scripting language most often used for dynamically generating web pages. It is available in all but the most basic web-hosting arrangements, usually as an Apache module.

The RISC OS version is maintained and actively developed by Alex Waugh. It can be used as a stand-alone language, but is also available embedded in WebJames, a RISC OS web server also maintained by Alex Waugh.
