Wakefield RISC OS Computer Club are pleased to announce that with just under four weeks to go until the 2016 Wakefield Acorn & RISC OS Computer Show, we now have nearly twenty exhibitors signed up for the platform's premier event in the North.

This year's show will be taking place in its regular venue at the Cedar Court Hotel, just off junction 39 of the M1 to the south of Wakefield in West Yorkshire. Access by car is easy, as the hotel can be seen from the motorway junction. For those arriving by public transport, there will be a regular free minibus service connecting the venue to local and intercity trains at Wakefield Westgate station, and the hotel is also well served by local public buses. Full travel and accommodation information can be found at http://www.wakefieldshow.org.uk/

Those exhibitors already booked to attend include names such as AMCOG, Archive Magazine, CJE Micro's, Drag 'n Drop, Impression X, MW Software, Organizer, Orhpeus Internet, R-Comp, RISC OS Open, Sine Nomine and Soft Rock from the RISC OS market. The 8-bit scene will also be well represented by exhibitors including A Bug, Flax Cottage, Daniel Jamieson, and Retro Hardware. We're still adding new names to the list, however -- watch the show website for the latest news.

The popular Show Theatre will be present as usual, and we're currently putting together a programme of talks: details will be published on the website nearer the date. The Charity Stall will also be returning -- hoping to add to the £17,000 that our visitors have raised for the local Wakefield Hospice over the years.

The show will be open from 10.30am until 4.30pm, with tickets costing £5 on the door. Ticket holders will be entitled to enter the free Prize Draw with the chance to win some RISC OS-related goodies.

For full details, please check out the show website at http://www.wakefieldshow.org.uk/ -- and keep an eye out for the latest information as it becomes available.
