gperf also doesn't compile for me.  The compiler within RISC OS now
does something different.  I've not investigated this at all:

*gcc test.c -c -v
 pc:    1f004 sp:   667fa4 ^post_signal()
 pc:    37348 sp:   666f10 __h_cback()
 pc:    31ccc sp:   666f78 main()

Termination signal received: Segmentation fault
