Summary: riscosify.c case "~" ignores RISC OS names
           Product: GCC/GCCSDK
           Version: other
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: RISC OS
            Status: NEW
          Severity: feature request
          Priority: P1
         Component: Unixlib and SharedCLibrary
        AssignedTo: peter at chocky.org
        ReportedBy: beeb at woosh.co.nz
   Estimated Hours: 0.0

There are some filenames in use of the form ~default (Zap) ~settings
(Choices.sourcery)
Only a few, but when a port such as tar encounters one it jumps to
Boot:Choices.
If there is a ~name file somewhere in Boot:Choices a loop is started.
Other ports that can recursively handle files will have the same problem, and
ports
generally can't handle RISC OS names beginning with tilde should someone use
it.
For ports not using the ~/ directory > Boot:Choices translation, I have used a
build of
the compiler with the case "~" section commented out in riscosify.c
