The XScale processor is an ARM processor released by Intel Corporation as a successor to the StrongARM processor originally designed by Digital Equipment Corporation. It is based on the ARMv5TE architecture, and does not support 26-bit addressing.
The XScale-based Intel IOP321 is used in the IYONIX pc.
Currently, both Intel and Marvell manufacture XScale processors.
